Taare Zameen Par

Tare zameen par is an appealing movie released in 2007, written by  Amole Gupte and produced by Amir Khan. This movie is surely going to leave you panting for air while you cry watching as the story unfolds.

The movie revolves around a 8 year boy, Ishan who suffers from dyslexia. The parents are foreign to their child’s problem and scolds him for being mischievous and getting bad grades, comparing him to his all rounder elder brother. Amir Khan who is the temporary art teacher of Ishan’s boarding school proves to be his angel, his life changer. Taare Zameen Par especially points out the abusive behaviour of parents and teachers who judge the ability of a child with mere marks. This is a movie that will keep you fixed to your seats and make you feel ecstatic by the climax of it. 

Bala

This a 2019 bollywood comedy directed by Amar Kaushik.This is a movie that has made the audience brimming with laughter consecutively giving them life lessons. Movie stars Ayushman Khurana as Balmukund Shukla, a young man who has a genetic hair shedding problem.

He used to tease his bald teacher in his adolescence and was proud of his luscious hairs but Karma served him when he started losing his hair early and became bald in his 20s. This is a movie about how social beauty standards affect the judgement of humans and breaks the stereotype of beauty in fairer appearances. Bala preaches the lesson of looking beyond external beauty when a bald Balmukund rejects all possible solutions and accepts his appearance as it is in the climax. 

Dangal

Dangal is a 2016 biographical sports drama film under Aamir Khan Productions. The film stars Amir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat who is a pehlwani amateur wrestler and has a dream of winning a Gold medal for India in wrestling. Dangal is set in a rural village of Haryana which is a feeble-minded place and patriarchal society. This movie changes the motion of orthodoxic minds who treat their daughter with anything less. Danagal raises voice against Gender discrimination and biased society when Mahavir Singh decides to teach his daughters Wrestling

English Vinglish

This is a 2012 comedy-drama movie, written and directed by Gauri Shinde. English Vinglish casts late actress Shridevi as Shashi Godbole who is a small entrepreneur who makes snacks. This is a movie with the hidden theme of “It’s never too late for learning”. Shashi who is the protagonist of the story is constantly mocked by his husband and daughter for her lack of English skills. She then takes the lead of her life into her own hands and changes it completely for good, making her family dumbfounded and ashamed by the ending of the movie.
