Final Thoughts
To make things clear, we would like to offer some pros and cons to the design of the CM Storm Spawn gaming mouse:
Pros
- Very good price (£27 at the time of writing)
- precise, accurate and responsive
- Solid gamer mouse aesthetics
- Anti-perspiration textured rubber grips
- Up to 3500DPI
- Good provided software
Cons
- Small number of mouse buttons (only 5)
- lack of a DPI setting between 1800 and 3500DPI
- Only a 1 year warranty
- Dust and Dirt build up in teflon pad gaps
The CM Storm Spawn is a great mouse for everyday use and casual gaming. Better designed for FPS gaming but still highly capable of other genres of game I would definitely say this is a high performance mouse without the performance price tag. The only real draw back for me is that even though CM Storm have made this mouse very well they seemed to have slacked on the warranty a bit, and given Cooler Master normally offer such great warranties I was slightly disappointed with only a 1 year warranty. However, the incredibly attractive price tag, design and great performance make this one of the best value mice we have ever tested.
